The Mountainview Lutherie School is located about 15 miles east of Bellingham, Washington, in the small town of Everson. From the school’s location, all amenities are not more than three blocks walking distance for the students. These include groceries, laundry services, banking, restaurants, pubs one of the best steak houses in Whatcom County, and much more.

Whatever is not at arms reach in Everson may be founding Bellingham, home of Western Washington University. Bellingham is a city of about 85,000 people, hosts a great nightlife and live music scene. From Bellingham, it is only about 90 miles south to Seattle or about 50 miles north to Vancouver, BC, Canada for those looking for an even greater variety of activities.

The Bellingham area hosts several tonewood providers; Grizzly Industrial, purveyors of fine tools and lutherie supplies; and Hardware Sales, one of the best hardware stores in existence and one that is almost one stop shopping for the luthier.

We picked our location with ready access in mind for tools and supplies so that minimal to no time is wasted in obtaining necessary goods and services. The Everson area is beautiful and hosts dozens of hiking trails and fishing opportunities on the Nooksack River. Everson is only an hour from Mt.
