Mountain View Luthier School is committed to the practical application of learning and teaching the Art of Lutherie. Students experience individualized hands-on training in instrument design and construction. They are progressively challenged by each new project, resulting in a comprehensive understanding of lutherie.

We have diligently tried to create a program that encompasses many different processes within a growing skill set. The school centers around the guitar because it is the basis of many stringed instruments, and its building principals may be applied universally to many types of instruments.

Mountain View is centrally located in Everson, Washington, in the foothills of the North Cascades. Bellingham, a city of about 85,000 people and home to Western Washington University, is fifteen miles to the west. If you're looking for city life, Seattle, WA is about 90 miles to the south and Vancouver, BC, Canada is 50 miles to the north.
